I had a new fuel pump installed. Before changing fuel pumps I was getting about 16 MPG. After the new fuel pump was installed, the gas mileage immediately dropped to about 11 MPG. Any suggestions or recommendations?

I had the fuel pressure regulator replaced about a month after the fuel pump was replaced. No change in MPG.

No problems with fuel pressure since replacing the regulator. I don't know what the fuel pressure reads or how to check it. But with the old regulator I had problems starting the engine. It would also occasionally die while running. No problems with the new regulator. Gas mileage has not been any better since the new regulator.
