When I crawl under, shake and pull on the gas lines and wires the fuel pump will work for maybe half a dozen times. So I know its either the connections are bad or the pump just needs a good shakin to get it working again.

Now to my question: Several people say drop the tank to replace the pump. Some say get three Buddies and pull the bed off. Which is the best way if you are limited to a small single car driveway and no hoist?

I would say dropping the fuel tank is a lot easier than removing the bed.

Just make sure you drain all the fuel first and support the tank with a jack once you remove the strap bolts.
