I have been loosing power in my truck. It stated out to where it would just loose power anytime it got over 3000 RPMs in any gear and in park. If you hit the gas pedel to much it acts like it is flooded. It snowed the other day and now with it being cold the truck will only get up to about 30MPH and takes a little work to get it there. Someone told me to change cap and rotor, but did not help. So I did compression test and had 145-150 PSI. I could not figure out if that was good or bad though. I would really like help on this problem..Thanks

Has it been scanned for trouble codes? has the fuel pressure & volume been tested?

I am in the process right now of getting a code reader to see what comes up. Also I have replaced the fuel pump and filter about 6 months ago, but it might be going out again did not think about that. I will reply again when I figure out more.

Thanks

Another thought I had is possible exhaust restriction. If that makes any sense to you, and sounds reasonable, take out the upstream O2 sensor, (Pre-Convertor) and see if power comes back. We'll get there. Advance Auto Parts has Actron code readers for around 30 bucks.

Your compression ratios are perfect.

This does sound like an exhaust restriction, possibly clogged converter as stated by Bobb.
Here is a guide to test the converter:

I have also attached replacement instructions for anyone might be looking to do the replacement.
Any questions please let us know.
Thank you.
