Noticed something slipping while accelerating, once at a constant speed it's ok....is it the differential or maybe transmission?

How much play are you suppose to have when you move the tires back and forth?
How much slack is suppose to be on the bearings?

If there is NO noise associated with the slipping, it's probably transmission related, I have NEVER come across an axle/differential that was quite and defective!
