1997 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

the blinker fuse will blow as soon as i turn the key on unless i put it in nuetral before i turn the key on. before it blows i can hear something click by the shift lever under the dash.

the only thing i can think of here is to clean the groundfrom the battery to engine and body. also clean the ground on the frame rail at the rear by the bumper. This may be scrwing things up. It could be something elselike maybe a bad hazard flasher. Otherwise take this to a pro and he may know of something that causes this. It may be a dash ground as well....

it sounds like a bad ground or short in the wire that runs with the accessory from the key.
