1996 Chevy Silverado Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My son has a 96 Silverado and has replaced the Master Cylinder twice in the last 6 months. The first time he installed a refurb cylinder. After several months he repaced it again with a refurb (the original refurb had a warantee.) Once again, the fluid is very low and the brake light is on. He is in his second year of auto shop and is frustrated with what is happening. He starts a new job tomorrow and needs his truck, so any qucik response and suggestions you could give would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Has he looked for leaks someplace else in the system?
