Air Conditioning problem
1996 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

My clutch engages and disengages near constant. It engages for about 2 or 3 seconds then disengages for the same period of time. My freon level is normal and when the clutch engages it goes up to about 52 psi. Then when it disengages my pressure will drop to about 10 psi. I know there is suppose to be about a 10psi difference between the high and low pressure but this is dropping 42psi. Any help is GREATLY NEEDED. thank you

Sounds like you are using one of the cheap can chargers with the dial? High side reading is important, but cant be taken with this type, but a cycling A/C system with a reading of 52 on the low side that drops to 10 when the compressor runs IS low on freon. Go to an A/C tech with a charging station, this will evacuate the system, vacuum, and if no leaks are found, recharge to EXACAT spec for your truck, with R134a, this is CRITICAL!
