1995 Chevy Silverado transmission shifting

I have hard shifting sometimes more like a jolt, when i shift from park into reverse or into drive all other gears shift fine. I also noticed that my truck started having heavy transmission fluid leakage.

Is the engine idling at its normal rpm? First find thesource of the leak and see if it can be repaired with the trans in the truck.It may have had something go wrong internally which has caused the line pressure to go up too high.Before condemning the trans, be sure the engine and trans mounts are good, at 150k they shoud be pretty well worn out.This can cause the engine to move around or bang when going into gear.
