1995 Chevy Silverado cruise control

Hi, I am having trouble with the cruise control. When I ingage it it only works if I hold in on the coast button. If I run up to the speed that I want I hold in on the coast button and let off, it will stay at that speed. It wont let me excellerate with the cruise button. Can you help?

sounds like the cruise module is going bad, or you need a new cruise switch.
