1994 Chevy Silverado hissing noise from throttle body

1994 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 195k miles

I changed intake gaskets an now am getting hissing noise from throttle body,will not idle, backfires,and lopes like i put cam in it

Hi:
If you hear a hissing sound, there is a vacuum leak. Make sure all vacuum lines are attached and not damaged. Make sure the throttle body is tight and nothing got pinched under it.

Let me know what you find.

Have you tried using starting fluid to see of the RPM's change when you spray it near the sound? I normally don't like to recommend this because of the fire hazard it creates.
