Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and test the throttle position sensor-

I have been told that the throtle position senser was bad loooooooong time ago, or was going, how do I test it? Im a old school truck guy and computers and sensers are a learning deal for me. Ya have plumbing questions, small engines questions? How do I clean out that air senser?
,

is the map senser a culprit?

Thanks again, I like this site and plan on my wisdom elsewhere !

Get a voltmeter-Test the TPS closed and wide open throttle voltages, if its bad long time ago I recommend you just replace it-
