I have a 94 3500 diesel that seems to have a few issues. First, it has become very hard to start no matter the temp outside. The only way to get it started is to hold the pedal to the floor and crank until no tomorrow. Once it starts I have to really fight it to keep it running until it warms up. Once warm you can shut it off and it will start right no problems. Second, once warm and driving it will randomly stall. It will fire right back up. Please help

Hi there,

If your engine is a glow plug start engine I would be checking the glow plugs and power supply first. If direct injection, (no glow plugs) I would have a comp test done and get the injectors serviced, also check the cold start system of the injector pump, your problem will be around these items.

The fuel injection pump is the most common failure on the 6.5l diesel. If it's the electronic injection pump, try replacing the control module on the pump. They usually get overheated and fail.
