My truck has been having problems with the motor. It will run perfectly whenever I start it up and continues to run perfectly for about 5 minutes or until the motor warms up. Then it begins to hava a terrible stutter at low rpms. The acceleration is terrible. However if I put it to the floor and it gets past the stutter it runs perfect at high rpms. Also if I shut it off and restart it again it runs perfect for about 30 seconds and then goes back to stuttering. Please help, Thank you

Hi:
Is the check engine light on? Also, have you checked fuel pump pressure?

Yes the check engine light is on but no I have not checked the fuel pressure. I don't have the equipment to do that. What I plan on doing is bringing it in to my auto class at school and checking it there.

Hi:
If the check engine light is on, I would start there. See what codes are set. If nothing works that way, then check the fuel pump pressure. Many parts stores will lend or rent the gauge. And, if you go to the page listed below, there is a video that will show you how to check fuel pressure. It's easy. Check it out.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.
