1992 Chevy Silverado pinion shaft

the little bolt that holds the shaft in place broke,any ideas on getting the rest of the bolt out thank u

I'm not quite sure which bolt you are refering to. The pinion shaft, on the rear differential, is a big bolt so I am thinking that the nomenclature of the part is throwing me off. Could you describe in greater detail which part you are having a problem with?
