A/C FLASHES WHEN SYSTEM IS ENERGIZED OR VEHICLE IS STARTED. R-134 ADDED , ONLY ABOUT 1/3 CAN USED. CHECKED FUSE BLOCK - OK. IS THERE A FUSE LOCATED ON THE COMPRESSOR. CHECKED CURRENT TO COMPRESSOR - NOTHING REGISTERED.

I have the same year truck with about the same miles and mine has the same problem. I have disconected the bat. to reset the computer and the a\c would work for a while then it wouild quit. I still have not figured it out but this may help you on realy hot days.
