Engine Mechanical problem
1991 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I noticed that when I put gas in my truck that the rubber hose that goes from the nozzle to the gas tank had a hole in it and was leaking gas.I went on and put gas in it and drove home. The next time that I went to start it then it would not start.I took the air filter off and poured a little gas in the fuel body and it will start for a couple of seconds then go dead.Could the hole in the hose cause a problem ?
