1990 Chevy Silverado rough acceleration

Recently bought this truck. Its an older truck but its in good shape. Only bad thing is when I take off from a stop its rough and slugish. But once Im cruising or on the highway its fine. Its smooth and has plenty of power. I just replaced the spark plugs and air filter. All the the connections seem snug and the plugs are original and properly gapped. It starts up fine and idles smooth. Idle seems a little high though. Im pretty mechanically inclined, so I dont mind working on cars. Its the diagnosing I hate, please help. Thanks, Anthony

Take a look at your plug wires, cap and rotor and see if there is carbon tracking or they are arching somewhere. Let me know what you find and ill see what I can do to help.
