i am attempting to swap engines with a 1997 gmc 1500 suburban's vortec v8 what modifications am i going to endure being that i have a vortec v6

Basically everything needs changed. Motor mounts, vacuum harness, computer, wiring harness... I recommend staying with a direct fit replacement. When you change things like this, it's not worth the effort.
