I have a 89 chevy 4wd that has the computer. I replaced the throttle body, intake, distributor and installed a fuel regulator. I am having problems with shorts in wires and all I am wanting to convert the the truck from Computer to non computer is there any possible way I can with the 4wd system and other electical parts or adding toggleswitches and it still be road legal for the state of TX. Is there a wiring schematic I can follow to do so.

Hi there,

I doubt that you will be able to do this successfully, and i would think that you would not pass your smog test, i would contact your local authority to see if they will accept such a conversion, do this first before you start spending a heap of money.
