1988 Chevy Silverado differental

when i put in gear (not all the time) it chucks and slips then if i step on it or stop and back up a little it straightens up for a while now its is doing more often almost like it slipping,...... thank you , cliff

Hi there, thank you for the donation,

I would first be checking that the correct oil is in the diff. failing that if this is a limited slip diff, the clutch pack may be failing causing this problem, have it check out before you do more damage.
