My parking brake light will not go out, what could be the problem?

The brakes may be sticking in the rear which happens quite often. Or the shift linkage is all rusted and should be greased up and worked with. If that doesnt help then the switch is probably bad.

Did I mention it may mean you have low brake fluid also!
