1986 Chevy Silverado V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic? Miles

I Have A 1996 Chevrolet That Has The 5.0 Lt In It, And I Was Wondering What I Need To Do To The Motor To Put It In A 1986 Chevrolet Silverado. I Know I Will Have To Change The Intake To Change It To A Carb, But There Is Some Things Im Not Sure Of. If There Is Any Changes That I Need To Make To The Motor To Fit In The Other Truck And Work, I Would Appreciate The Help! Ty

Because of the large number of years, anything could have changed. I don't have a cross reference book to help, but everything needs changed from one to the other. My big concern is that the newer one may have places for sensors that the old engine doesn't have and the mounting brackets may not bolt up the same.

They change things so often, it's hard to tell. We always recommend staying with a direct replacement.
