Electrical problem
1986 Chevy Silverado V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual
I have an '86 Chevy Silverado K10 4WD with a 454 in it. Started it up and the alternator pegged out max, smelled the wires getting hot there was a flash of light from under the dash then it died. I checked all fuses there are all ok, pulled the fuse box out there are no burnt wires. Only one side of the fuse box has juice. The head/tail lights, dome light, horn are the only things that have juice. Is it possible that I fried the fuse box? It has juice from the firewall. The ignition fuse melted but NOT blown replaced it and there is still nothing.
