1981 Chevy Silverado not getting fuel to carburator

I am not getting any fuel to my Q-jet carb. I have checked the filter and fuel pump. Those were fine, so I took the carb off and cleaned it thoroughly, inlcuding the needle and seat. I replaced some of the simpler parts that I got in my rebuild kit, and then replaced the gaskets. When I put it back on the engine block, it still acts like it isn't getting any fuel. What other possibilities are there.

Did you check the fuel pressure and what was the reading.

When you pull back on the accelertor linkage do you see the accelerator pump squirting fuel? If so try readjusting the A/F mix screw
