1969 Chevy Silverado Skipping, Backfiring

Truck ran great then started skipping.
Replaced carb with new Holley, didn't fix.
Replaced Spark plugs, didn;t fix.
Truch runs OK now unless you get on it, then it skips.
Might it be the fuel pump?
