I had the same problem with a 94 dodge ram truck and after taking it back to the dodge dealership garage 6 times (with no luck), a small repair shop owner told me it was the MAP OR MAF sensor. He changed it for me and it ran perfect and never did it again! Hope this helps you out, I am not a mechanic and I was going crazy myself!
