I have 1998 Chevy S-10 w/ approx. 240,000 miles, Standard shift.

When I'm driving it hesitates and sometimes backfires. One time I was trying to pull out and it acted like it was choking it was still running but when I gave it gas it acted like it was flooding.

2 things you should check on a vehicle with this much milage, Compression, and fuel pressure. Hope for a fuel pressure issue!
