This works on a 94, it may be the same, not sure? Remove the oil pan. While supporting the oil pump, remove the pump-to-rear main bearing cap bolt. On some models, the oil pan baffle must be removed first, since it is also held in place by the pump mounting bolt. Then lower the pump and remove it along with the pump driveshaft.
