First, when checking the level of the fluid, you must be on a level ground with the engine not running. The drain plug is located on the lower right side of the trans. It has a 3/8" square drive hole in the plug. You must use a 3/8" square drive rachet or breaker bar to break it loose. It's on pretty good. At the end of the plug has a magnet to catch any metal particles. According to the Honda Factory manual you are recommended to use DOT #2 ATF. It should take about 4 quarts to fill. Good Luck.

Here's my new design remove bottm hose at radiator-

Drain it out connect it and flush it, remove it, drain it, connect it, put coolant then bleed it. Note: replace the thermostat

BLEEDING COOLING SYSTEM:

Always bleed air from cooling system after replacing coolant. Set heater for maximum heat. Remove radiator cap. Loosen drain plug and remove drain bolt (if equipped) from engine block. Drain coolant reservoir. Fill coolant reservoir to MAX mark with 50/50 water-coolant mixture. Loosen bleed bolt and fill radiator up to base of filler neck. Close bleed bolt when coolant flows out without bubbles. Tighten bleed bolt. With radiator cap removed, start and operate engine to normal operating temperature. Add coolant if necessary and check for leaks.
