Transmission would not shift pass second gear. Replaced transmission, now abs light is on, transmission fluid smells burnt and speed odometer will not work. Two brake shops said a 'Rear Wheel Speed Sensor" is faulty. A Chevy Dealer service says that there is no such sensor on this truck. Dont what what to do next.

The speedometer gear or sensor is what they are refering to. It should be located near the output shaft on the trasmission or on the rear axle housing. Was the trasmission fluid level checked while hot and in park? Make sure the vacuum solenoid for the transmission is in proper order. This should be a vacuum hose connected to the top of the transmission which runs up into a vacuum manifold to the engine.
