On my way to work this morning, my Service Engine LIght came on. When I got off the freeway I looked at my gauges, my Oil gauge went from 65 to 35. When I accelerated my Oil gauge increased from 35 to 65. This pattern continued on street traffic. Could it be my oil pump?

Actually, that is normal. THe pressure increases as the RPM's increase. Based on the lowest being 35PSI, I whould have to say that the Service engine light is for something other than oil pressure. Take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer to identify the trouble code. Most will do it for free. Also, always make sure the oil is full in the engine.

Let me know what you find.
