I have a clicking noise that is really noticable on start up. It uaually goes away after warm up. The valves have never been adjusted on this motor. I was wondering how to do this to see if this solves my problem.

that will not solve your problem. i suggest checking the front pipe to manifold for a exhaust leak. you can look for black soot. usually the noise is a exhaust leak not a lifter. rarely a lifter goes bad on this truck but it does happen. try changing oil more often if in fact it is a lifter but check the exhaust first.
