My girlfriends 2002 2.2l S10 piece of sh!t won't start. The dashboard lights up so there is power in the battery, but when you go to start it all you get is a click click clicking. Is this generally the starter?? If so can i being a newbie to repairing cars replace it myself and where is the starter located?

Check the battery condition by doing a load test on it-if okay-could be the ignition switch, park and neutral switch and starter itself. Follow the battery positive terminal cable towards the engine it will lead you to it.
