2002 Chevy S-10 Odometer & shift indicator lights out

The ligts for my odometer & shift indicator (P-R-N-D-2-1) have been acting up and are now out completely. All other lights & accessories work fine. Is is possibly a fuse or must it be a wiring/bulb issue? How can I diagnose??
