2002 Chevy S-10 HELP ASAP

2002 Chevy S-10

Ok at first my i didnt have any power to my car!!! No lights no radio or anything but my vehicle was rrunning. Well then everything is fine. well when i went to start my car back my entire steering wheel locks and my key ignition wont move at all. All of a sudden after messing with my shifter( its an automaic) it starts then it dies off and on on me. I really have no idea what is goin on with my vehicle please give me any advice!!!! Thank You

if you have a security system get that checked. If it has the type of ignition with the diode try another key as the diode may be worn out. Check to make sure your linkage is adjusted correctly as well
