2002 Chevy S-10 head gasket

i have a blown head gasket in my s10, im not sure which side of the v 6 it is, is there any way to tell? also i plan on doing this project myself, any advice?

You can do a cylinder leakdown test or compression test on every cylinder. A cylinder leakdown test would be the best option since it will tell you where the leak is, but not everybody has an air compressor and a tester at home.

If you want, you can do a compression test and if you see a cylinder that is really low, chances are, that's where the gasket has failed and is leaking compression.
