2002 Chevy S-10 fuel pump

truck would start and then die after 2 seconds. I replaced the fuel pump. Now when I turn on the key I cant even hear the fuel pump kick on. all relays and fuses appear to be fine. would love to know what to try next. thanks

Have you verified power to pump? was old pump inop?
Does relay click when key is on?
