Hi,

I have a 2001 Chevy s-10 ZR-2 and I am hearing a rubbing/vibration like noise only from the right side of the rear end of the truck and it only happens when I turn right hand turns. This never happens when I turn left. I can usually simulate the noise by making turns around 10-20 mph and they are sharper turns. Do you have any ideas what this might be. I thought it might be the wheel bearing, but now I am guessing that it has something to do with the rear end. I was looking around the net and someone said something about adding friction modifier to the gear oil. Do you guys have any thoughts on this. Thanks

If it's a posi trac rear end, change the gear oil and yes, use the rear end additive, also sold at local parts stores, rear end will shudder when it needs additive or repair. Put additive in and drive in tight circles both ways for a few minutes..
