My truck is maken a claken noise on the front driver side where the axel goes into the front end housing is it the axel or the housing going out?

Does it make the noise all the time? or mostly on turns? If on turns check out the cv joint...if just on bumps, check out the stabilizer links, the one on the drivers side may have broke...this will be the link that holds the sway bar to the control arm...
