2001 Chevy S-10 4 wheel drive

when i click my truck into 4wheel high it will never go back into 2wheel drive it will switch back and forth to 4 wheel high and low but it just clicks when i try and go to 2wheeldrive i can some sometimes get it to go back into 2wheel from 4wheel low but never 4wheel high i have replaced 4 whell drive control modual and plug but this did nothing

there is a vacuum switch located on the transfercase that controls the front diff actuator that always sticks on causing the front diff to stay engaged
