This is not a rare occurance for me and Chevy S-10 extended cab trucks. I have had 2 or 3 now and have driven them about 10 years now. EVERY time the gas guage is at or under 1/4 tank, these trucks refuse to start. Summer or dead of winter doesnt matter to the truck. Its amazing that if it is litterally one hair above the 1/4 mark it WILL start, but if it is literally one hair UNDER the 1/4 mark it wont start to save your life! Then I put a gallon in it and it starts. I have read several blogs from other S-10 owner how have the same problem and some of them have this problem at a half tank. So what is causing this and how do I fix it? Is it just poor factory design?
