have a heater core leak so will have a mechanic bypass the htr core. Should I do a radiator flush or will I potentially create more problems than it is worth. I only drive it about 130 miles a month, but in Arizona heat. Currently no other problems with radiator or hoses, But radiator has not been flushed in several years.

a radiator flush will only help the vehicle. a radiator flush, if not done wrong, will never harm the vehicle at all.
