My back lift gate on the Chevy S10 Blazer will not open, it clicks but that it is. There is no key entery, as all locks are power locks. I have removed part of the panel inside, but I see no wires that can be the cause of the problem. I have check fuses and all are fine. The vehicle starts, all windows work, but the back lift door/gate will not open. Is there something underneath that I should be checking, or am I in the right area. Thanks, Jan

If you can see the lock assembly, look for the plastic retainers to be broken that hold the rods to the lock assembly. When they break, the rods cant be pulled to release the latches
