2000 Chevy S-10 push rods

i recently blew heads gaskets. i took both head off and sent them out. they replace 2 worn vavles. and all the valve springs. i put everything back toghter. and since i keep bending push rods right away. i've toqued the rocket arms different ways. last time did it by the gm book.. #1 clyneder on tdc. then to 20 Ft lbs. the same push rods keep bending.. one per clyender. on the left side is the front , front , and rear.. on right side is the front, rear, rear rods.. have asked all over and no one knows why.. please help

Have the heads been machined? How much compression are you producing in the cylenders?
