2000 Chevy S-10 Motor struggling when first started

This motor starts without difficulty, but struggles to keep running for about 60 seconds, after which it takes hold, and runs smoothly. What causes this problem, and what do I do to remedy it?

Check your fuel pressureand scan the enginefor codes. Lyou might get a fuel filter and try changing that and see if it makes a difference. Also check for vacuum leaks or boroken or leaking vacuum lines.
