I have a 2000 chevy s10. I have a misfire in piston 4. i had the check engine light checked and it spit out a p0304 piston 4 misfire. i have checked the gap on the plug and didn't know what else i could do to check on my own with out have to go to a shop.

A misfire in a particular cylinder should lead you to check the spark plug, fuel injector and compression.
