Hi, one way, might be to fix whatever is wrong. Use a scanner and erase codes. Sometimes taking the battery cable loose for a while might cause a reset, If you do it that way, might cause other issues?

To me a scanner will not only check codes, but, show live engine data. The code reader will only read codes, it is possible, the reader might erase codes, not sure? Your local autostore might erase codes for you, free of charge.
