1999 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

would any 2.2 l engine fit in this truck or would it have to be the out of a truck just like it

you have to have a rear wheel drive 2.2L and if you have an echotech motor yes it' would have to be like it. the only thing that i know of woul d be another S-10 motor....
