Computer problem
1998 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My "service engine soon" light keeps coming on but my mechanic cannot find anything wrong with it and has reset the light twice.

I have tried changing the gas cap as the original was replaced with a locking gas cap and I thought that might have been the problem, but the light came on again.

The mechanic said my computer may have a virus? Is that possible? There is no indication of any other problem. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Been to Auto zone and my mechanic who also hooked up to his computer...no problems, all is fine, all levels good, catalytic converter is fine and still the light comes back on. No leak, no nothing. It is a mystery.
