Steering problem
1998 Chevy S-10 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

we were towing the truck out of the mud and when doing so the truck was jerked really hard. Now the truck has no power steering. I think a rod or something my have been bent, but I am not sure. My husband says the power steering pump and the rods around it need to be replaced. How hard is that to fix and what is the average cost?

if your lost your power steering you may have ripped a line off rather than your pump. Best way is to look at your turck and if the wheels are straight you may not have damaged any steering linkage. if you have it will be at least a front end alignment and it could run as high as about $600 or more to fix it. But prices vary and it depends what's wrong. it's best to crawl under th truck and see if you can see anything broken or bent.
